Halloween Treats *Elle's Studio*

Are you looking for some last minute Halloween treat ideas? Thought I'd share a few things that I created using Elle's Studio wonderful Halloween papers! They were so quick and easy and anyone can do it!

Take a look at these oh-so-cute treat bags!
Now Elle has these available in a wonderful pdf file that all you have to do is print out.
You can find them here.
I took the digital files to Staples and had them print it on regular paper and they came out amazing! Whatever they use to print, gave it a really nice sheen to it, even on just regular stock paper! Then you cut them out, adhere the sides and bottom, I also cut the top with pinking shears and you have an adorable treat bag to hand out.
And these candy poppers were so much fun to create!
How fun would it be to send the kids off to school with these? Or hand these out to special friends who come to visit! These were created using Elle's wonderful Halloween papers found here.

Again, I had the papers printed a Staples and they were perfect! You simply use toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls cut into thirds, fill with candy, wrap with tissue paper, tie the ends, fringe-cut the ends and then wrap the Elle's Studio Halloween papers around and adhere. I added some ribbon at the ends and even a skull or a spider. I loved how they turned out!

On to the Treat Boxes!

These little boxes were so fun to make too!
Again, I used the Elle's Studio Halloween Papers found here and also the adorable Halloween Circle Tags found here.

I used a box template which I have made available on Elle's Studio blog (you can find it here, scroll down to the photo of the boxes and right underneath you'll see the link Elle has provided to get the pdf of the template).

Once you cut them out, you adhere the edges together and then decorate using ribbon, tulle, and tags! So much fun to give out!

I hope you've found a few fun ideas you can use this weekend! These were really so quick and easy to do. Even easier with sending the files to Staples for printing...try it!

Have a fun Friday!

Thankful Thursdays

It's another Thursday! I love this series that Elle's Studio has started. It really reminds you to take a look at your life and evaluate what is really important and to show gratitude for the things you are blessed with in your life.

Today I am feeling especially thankful. Maybe it has to do with everything I've been through the past few weeks but I can't stop just saying thank you!

Today I am especially thankful for:

1. My health! I'm thankful that even though they found that it was cancer, I am completely cured and it did not spread! That's the biggest thing this week I am thankful to God for.

2. My amazingly wonderful husband who has stood by me so strong these past few weeks. The times I was weak, he stayed strong and whipped me back in shape to be the strong person I was created to be and walk in the peace of God through this journey.

3. My friends and family who have been so faithfully supporting us through this. From just sending love and prayers our way to the meals brought....they have been amazing and I'm so thankful for them in my life!

I may have repeated some things I already shared I was thankful for but I don't care! LOL. This is where I'm at TODAY and that's what this is all about.

I'd like to encourage you to take a few minutes today and evaluate your life and what you are truly grateful for! You'll be glad you did!

Thankful Thursdays at Elle's Studio

I'm really excited about this new blog series that Elle's Studio has on the blog for the fall. It's called "Thankful Thursdays". Every Thursday, will be posting what you are thankful for. We all have so much to be thankful for and I think it's so easy to just get caught up in everyday life that we take the little things for granted. Elle has invited everyone to join in with her on the special series through November. I know it grabbed me so I'm participating!

I think it's just where I'm at right now anyway. Feeling extremely grateful for the things in my life and where I'm at. Here's just a few at the top of my list right now:

1. First and foremost, thankful to God! He has made my life so amazingly blessed beyond belief! I am thankful for sending His Son so I could have eternal life and a blessed life here on earth! Without Him, my life would be nothing.

2. Family! I have the most amazing family in the world. From my immediate family, including hubby, daughter, future son, to my extended family, we are one tight unit! It's not often that families get along so well and enjoy spending time together more than anything. That's the kind of family I have!

3. For my amazing friends....I have been blessed with some pretty amazing people that surround me with love and support! Those who love me for who I am, not who they want me to be! Those who love me in spite of my faults. Friends are the most amazing gift!

So, there's just three at the top of my list! I have so much more that I could share but I've got two months to share it!

Won't you join us? Take just a little time, one day out of the week to share what you are thankful for! I promise, you won't regret it! For all the details and to share a link to your blog, go over to Elle's Studio and check out her post!

Have a blessed Thursday!

Brooklin's Jam!

You all have heard all about my cutie pie niece Brooklin. Well, I have to tell you a funny little story. Now, Brooklin is always the one who is always ready and willing to talk to her Aunt Sheri on the phone (she lives in California). Her brother and sister are usually off doing something else but she always makes time to talk to me. My mom, who Brookin calls Me Ma, had stayed with them for a couple of months when my sister had her baby in March. While Me Ma was there, she had made some homemade jam for Brooklin that she just LOVED!

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was talking to Brooklin on the phone and she wouldn't hardly talk to me. She asked me right away, "Is Me Ma there?" I said, "Yes she is." She said, "I want to talk to her." I replied, "Ok you can talk to her later, talk to me right now." Brooklin continued, "I want to talk to Me Ma" ....after going back and forth like this too long, she finally said, "I want to talk to Me Ma....I have to tell her something." So I gave up and handed the phone to my mom.

First thing Brooklin says is "Me Ma, I'm all out of jam. Will you make me some more?" Well of course, Me Ma melted. So once Brooklin got that off her chest, we were able to have our regular conversation.

Well, being the good Me Ma she is, my mom bought some peaches and made Brooklin some jam to ship to her. Well, I couldn't have her just pack up the boxes and jars and ship them without cutifying them just a bit! Now before you go thinking I'm all Martha Stewart like and canning and making jams, I want to tell you I had nothing to do with these jars other than adding the fabric and tags! Just so we're clear!
So I just cut some fabric circles and tied them with ribbon using the wonderful Elle's Studio printable tags that you can get here. I love these tags and have used them over and over. And they are so easy to add text to before printing them out if you choose to do that. I just used my circle punch and they were done!

Hope you enjoy your jam Brooklin!

Also, check out Elle's Studio blog today.....I'm spotlighted there!

Auntie Re's Munchkins Mini

Here's another one of my projects posted at Elle's Studios Inspiration Gallery this month. I created a mini album using toilet paper rolls. I had seen this done on a blog somewhere and thought it just looked like a cute idea. I liked have the opening on the end that can be used for journaling or a little pocket for whatever. Of course, adding some Elle's Studio tags helped brighten it up a lot!

Y'all know how stinkin' crazy I am about my nieces and nephews so who better to make a mini of than them. Ya, I know, it's always them! But I love them, what can I say? So have a peek at Auntie Re's Munchkins mini album!

Love those little Elle's Studio tabs sticking out from the side!
Those tabs can be found here.

I used a lot of the Elle's Studio Seaside Vintage Tags found here.

And then, in case you want to know, here's the full list of supplies used:
I've also created a quick (ok, maybe not so quick, I think I'm really long winded!) video tutorial and page by page look at the album! Enjoy!
