Project Life ~ Week 3

Hello again! Today I'm sharing my Week 3 Project Life layout. This was was all about easy and just getting it done! I am behind and I just wanted to make some headway so when its like that, I make it easy on myself and pull out my core kits. They are already coordinated and ready to go!

For this layout, I used mostly the Strawberry kit and the Kiwi kit. Both I've had for a while and still have yet to make a dent in the product. I love that the kits are so similar that it's easy to combine them.  I pulled out the cards and went to work!

I added some embellishments and called it done!  For the full process, you can see the video I have posted below:

Project Life ~ Week 2

I just completed my week two spread....yes I am behind! Is anyone ever caught up with Project Life that doesn't do it for a job? I don't know....seems like its always so hard to get it updated. But I push on!

Here is the full spread.

For this spread I used the Strawberry kit. It's one of my favorites because of the beautiful colors.
I went for fast and easy to get this week done. I find that when I'm in a push and trying to get caught up, keep it as easy as possible. The kits do that for me since they are already coordinated and cut the right size.

I used my typewriter to do some journaling on one of the cards.

A few embellishments from my Freckled Fawn kits.

Here's the process video for the layout.

Project Life ~ Week 1

I have finally been able to start my Project Life album for 2015! I am excited. Even though I'm already late, I'm ok with it because at least I'm getting it started. I will catch up through the year. I don't really worry too much about it because then it becomes a chore or a job. I know that most of the time I will always be behind because life is just busy. I'm ok with that.

Here are some photos of my Week 1 layout:

Project Life ~ Week 14

April 1-7

Here's the two page spread for this week. Can you believe, no insert?  This was a fun week as we were getting ready for Easter.

Here's the left side.   Used my Dear Lizzy line for the date insert. Still loving that line!

Love the colors in this week's spread....lots of spring colors!

Once I'm caught up posting, I'm looking forward to sharing some tips and tricks I've learned through this and more of my process.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life ~ Week 13

This week had one insert but has some fun flip out pages! Had lots to share. My niece had her 2nd birthday so that deserved an insert all its own.

Here's my left page. Used several digital cards that I printed and cut. Also using up some of the patterned paper I was purging...just cut it up in 4x6 pieces so I could use it in my PL.

Here's the right spread...

I had a few pics from this girls night that I wanted to share but didn't really need a whole insert. So I simply used on of my favorite things....the C-Line Flip Photo Pockets found here.  I love those things! Above shows it just like it lays on the spread.....

Then you can lift the pocket for more pics.  Love that!

And here's the insert of my niece's 2nd birthday. Isn't she adorable?  Ok, back to the page....
I used a baseball card page protector that you can find at any office supply store. I actually purchased mine from The Container Store.  They were very reasonable for the pack.
I love this size because it lets me add quite a few pics without a lot of space.

Here's the back of the insert.  I also wanted to add the cute thank you cards she sent to her guests after the party.  So again, sewing machine to the rescue!  I created my own pocket by cutting down a page protector to fit the card, then simply sewed the edges to close it up.  I then sewed it to the side of the baseball card page protector for a flip out pocket which you can see below.

So you can see the front of her thank you card and the back as well while still leaving all the photos visible. Love that!

Thanks for looking!  When I'm caught up posting my Project Life pages, I'll start sharing links to the supplies used but for now there's just too many so I'm just trying to get caught up. But if you have any questions, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you!

Project Life ~ Week 12

Here's the Week 12 spread. I was able to get it all in the two page spread.  I'm loving all the colorful pockets. I'm not one for the matchy-matchy feel. I just take each pocket individually and embellish how I want. I'm kind of free that way!

Left side spread

Right side...
(don't you love my niece's expression in that photo? Hilarious!)

I wanted to share something extra I did on this page. I had a few extra photos from our Flea Market outing but I not enough to warrant a whole insert. What I did was use the C-Line Flip Pockets in the 4x6 size.  I attached to the bottom pocket so it flipped up and was able to have two additonal 4x6 slots! Love that!.
.
And here you see it flipped up! If you have tried those yet, you should! They're fun to have as an interactive option for more photos.

Well I think that does it for the Project Life flood of photos for tonight!  Thanks for looking!

Project Life ~ Week 11

Full spread and again no insert! What's up?

For this date card, I used an Elle's Studio Journaling card with some additional embellishments.
I have some photos of my nieces and nephew that live in California.  Even though I don't actually see them or didn't get to participate in their things, I still like to include them in my Project Life because they are such a huge part of my life. Thankfully, my sister keeps pictures coming to me of all their activities. I love having them in my book.

And here's the right spread.  I'm so loving this project. Even as I'm posting these layouts that I completed weeks ago, it's amazing the little details of life that I have already forgotten about but am reminded of thanks to Project Life.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life ~ Week 10

Can you believe this week I didn't have an insert? Looks a little bare now!  Just kidding. I still think it's plenty full and this is actually ok.  Used some of the Clementine cards this week (see the date card), added some extra embellies on the date card.

Here's the left side.

And the right...

This was an easy week!
