Project Life ~ Week 4

So now on to week 4! Did I say I'm loving this project? Yeah, I think I did a time or two.  This week I only had one insert.

Here's the spread showing the insert on the right.
You know me, I love inserts during these weeks! Helps add extra photos or special events that I want to capture more than one photo of.

And here it is without the insert just so you could get a look at the full spread.
This was a pretty important week for us personally. Every year, we join our church in a week long fast and prayer time during the last week of January. Well, this was that week!  So a lot of the focus of my PL is about that. I thought about whether or not I wanted to share that very personal part of us but decided it's who we are, its our life so, here it is! Isn't that what Project Life is all about anyway?
(A couple of the photos are intentionally blurred because of personal information.)

And here's a close up of the left hand side...
You can see that even though I have the Clementine kit, I am using a lot of other supplies with it. I am loving all the digital cards available that can be downloaded and printed at home. I love the color and variety they all add to the spreads. I'm not too much into making sure everything is matchy-matchy...I love the variety.

And a close up of the right hand side....

I included this insert using photos from the photo a day challenge. I kept up pretty good in January and wanted to include a full insert. Totally copied this idea from my Twitter friend Renee.  Saw hers and loved the idea. The "January" was cut from my Silhouette using a shape found in the Silhouette store.

All 31 photos included in the insert!

I hope you're enjoying the peeks into my Project Life! I'm doing my best to share all the product used but I have a lot of scraps that I pull as well as some older product that may no longer be available.

If you're not sure what Project Life is or want more information, I encourage you to check it out here! Becky Higgins is the amazing creator of this awesome project!

Thanks for stopping by! Leave me a comment....I'd love to visit your blog!

Project Life ~ Week 3

And here I am again today posting another week of my Project Life. I told you, I am determined to get my postings caught up!

To say I am loving this project would be an understatement. I can't believe how much it has transformed my memory keeping. I still love looking through my binder and previous weeks and seeing little things that I had already forgotten about. That's what its all about.

Moving on, here is my week 3 spread.

This was a fun week! I actually have two inserts for this week. I had so many pictures that I wanted to use so I just added more inserts! Hey, this is my life that I want to capture. When I was fussing about having to use another insert my daughter replied, "Mom, why does it matter? It just shows you have a great, full life!" Wow! That's it! Why worry about how many inserts? If I've got things I want to remember, I don't want to have to look back on my computer to find them....include them! I am quickly realizing I may have three or four volumes of Project Life for one year, and you know what, I'm perfectly ok with that. I am getting the memories down and saving the pics to enjoy for years to come!

This is the left side for this week. It included pics of my niece, Madi, pics of hubby, text messages and our favorite tv show. I love keeping these things down because I know in just a few years this will all be obsolete and will change drastically. How fun to look back on that!

This is the right side spread.  Includes stories of scrap night, times with hubby, favorite everyday items and food.  The chevron bag with the picture of the banana bread, has my favorite recipe inside on the shipping tag! Won't have to worry about every losing that. (And if hubby sees I posted a pic of him getting a hair cut...man, will I be in trouble! LOL)

Here's the first insert. A night out with our kids! We love spending time with them and are so thankful they like to be with us! We have a blast together!

The back of the insert. Very simple.

SECOND INSERT: Used a baseball card page protector. Perfect size for adding many photos and filler cards. I love to use this size and use the center pocket for my title of the insert. I did this on a later week as well which you'll see coming up...
I also used these cute little packets from the Brighton store that we received when we went there. One is holding the receipt of our purchase. I just hole punched these and popped them in the page. If I had it to do over, I probably would not have hole punched them and just popped them in a page protector. But hey, it's done! Sometimes you just gotta be ok with it and get it done, right?

And here's the back of the second insert. Such a fun shopping day with my sister in law and my daughter Ashley, and of course, Miss Madi! Love that I'm getting these little things captured!

And here's the full open spread with the inserts. Isn't that just lovely? I love opening the binder and seeing all the great things that make up life in a week!

Thanks again for popping in! I'll be back with week 4 quickly!

Project Life ~ Week 2

I am determined to get caught up on my posting of my Project Life spreads! I am pretty much caught up with making them, its the posting that I've gotten really behind on. After last weeks posting, I was so unhappy with how the pics turned out that I retook all the weeks and am having to re-edit all of them. So its taken me a bit more time but I think I am good to go!

Here is my Week 2 spread. I have a small insert this week too. I like to make sure I include all the pictures I want so I'll use an insert if necessary instead of cutting out photos that I want included.

Here is the full week spread including the insert. I just love looking at these album pages. They really do capture the little everyday things of life.  Even though I have the Clementine kit, I find myself using more of my other scrap goodies than the kit.  I love all the options we have for PL now. There are so many great digital journaling cards out there. I love the bits of color they add along with my extra scrap stash goodies!

This is the left spread. I'm kind of OCD in the fact that I have to have my date card in the upper left corner always. Just love that it seems to start the beginning of the week. And I also find that I tend to fill up the spaces in the order of the week. Again, just my preference.

Here is the right side spread with the insert, just look at all that goodness!

And here is the actual right side without the insert blocking it. Along with the digital journaling cards I also use a lot of Elle's Studio tags and cards. They are just perfect for project life!

And here is my insert, just a few random photos that I wanted to make sure were included in my week.

I've included links below to some of the products I used. Other items are just random pieces of scrap supplies or leftovers I had. I love that I can use up my scraps so easily on Project Life!

I hope you have a wonderful Easter! Looking forward to a great Easter service at church tomorrow and then fun Easter egg hunt with my kiddos (well, at least the ones who live locally!)

PL Week One ~ Back again!

Yes! It's me! I have been off of blogging for a while, since the first part of the year.  Really, the first time I've taken a break since I started blogging almost four years ago. This break was fully intentional and needed.  As my last post in January noted, I have made some changes in things this year and it has been a much needed change for me.  Sometime I'll elaborate more on that but for right now, I just wanted to get back into blogging.

As you know, I jumped on the Project Life bandwagon and am LOVING it!  I have kept up so I have a lot of spreads that I want to share. I really struggled back and forth on whether or not I wanted my life pages shared on the blog for the world to see but decided that I love this process way too much to not share it.

So here is my Week One (yes it goes back to the first week of January!)
(Sorry about the pictures...they're not perfectly clear, not sure what happened but will definitely find a better place to take photos!)

The left page is the back side of my cover. I didn't want the numbers covered so I left the pockets transparent and I'm totally fine with the fact that they are backwards from this page view.

I included several inserts on this week's spread. My family was still visiting from California during this week so we had a lot going and I didn't want to leave anything out.

We took the kids to ICE at Opryland Hotel.  I just hole punched the photo souvenir and put it right in the album.

Included another insert with the tickets and more photos.

Another insert with additional photos
Again, more photos on an additional insert.

This is the right page spread.

I am loving the option of additional inserts. I find that I am capturing much more of life this way than I ever could before.

As far as supplies, I used a lot of different product.  If there's something specific you are looking for, let me know and I'll do my best to identify the product.
