Grab the Photo Op! **Wendy Hammer Designs

You know how those times pop up where you have to just grab the camera and go for it because you know it may not come around again for a long time?  Well, that was the case with the photo on this layout.
One Sunday, while my family from California was here for Christmas, it started snowing pretty heavily.  Well, the kids obviously were so excited to see it!  We had just come home from lunch after church, the kids were already changed in their jammies for their nap, but we didn’t care!  We went out for the photo op….pj’s and all!  And I’m so glad I did!

Supplies Used:

Patterned Paper: Cream Soda, Berry Blue, Cotton Candy, Caramel Apple, Jelly Bean, Paper Trunk

Embellishments: Camera, Mittens, clay buttons, clay rose, clay photo corners, Wendy Hammer Designs

Tags: Handmade Layer 3” Circle Tags, Sweet Summer Large Circles, Elle’s Studio

Aren’t those Wendy Hammer felt goodies just perfect for the layout?  I love them!
And again, those cute clay buttons she made to coordinate with the Paper Trunk papers we received in the product swap.  Those little clay roses are just divine too!

I loved working with the Paper Trunk papers along with Wendy’s great embellishments!

And remember to grab those photo ops when you can……they just might not come around again.

Speaking of grabbing photo ops…I’m getting plenty right now!  I’m enjoying my family who arrived from California last night!  So excited to have them here with us for a few weeks.  I’m sure I’ll have lots of photos to share soon!

Have a great Thursday!

Do You Know? **Wendy Hammer Designs and Paper Trunk

This month, we designers for Wendy Hammer Designs had the awesome opportunity to participate in a trade with Paper Trunk.  Of course, we jumped on it!!!  Not only did we get to use some of their fabulous products but our wonderful Wendy made some amazing personalized embellishments for each line of the Paper Trunk product!  Can you say uh-maz-ing!!!!

I was able to work with the Jelly Bean collection from Paper Trunk.
Can I just say I fell in love with it!
This was my first time using Paper Trunk but it most definitely won't be my last!  Their papers are amazing!  Such wonderful high quality papers, double sided and gorgeous!  Loved every one of their alphas I used!

She is just that....a miracle!
We are so blessed to have her in our family!

She's Got Personality!

Yay! It feels so good to be back in the swing of scrapping again after my crazy last few months! Wedding is over, holidays are done, surgeries are past and I think I can finally get my creative juices flowing again!

I'm so happy to share my Scrap Tiffany challenge layout with you! This week's challenge is all about the gray and yellow! Yep, that's the challenge! Use gray and yellow on your layout/project. I've always loved the look of gray and yellow but when I went to search for what I had on hand to work with, I have to say, I had a hard time. I usually do not grab yellow when I'm shopping! But I managed to find somethings that I think worked together well.

Isn't my little niece, Adoration just the cutest little thing! She definitely lives up to this title! She's a hoot!

Of course, I pulled out some of my adorable felt flowers
from Wendy Hammer Designs! LOVE them!

So, pull out some gray and yellow and see what you can come up with! Email your creation to Tiffany because we want to see too!

Have a great Thursday!

One Fine October Afternoon

I am part of a wonderful forum at For The Luv of Art. I absolutely love that place! Everyone is so friendly and supportive of each other. They also have fun challenges each week! This week I participated in it and I love the outcome.

The challenge was to create a layout/project using packaging from some supplies you have. Well I had to dig deep because I couldn't find any packaging that I wanted to use. Until I found this sample sheet that came in a pack from October Afternoon.

These squares immediately caught my eye! I decided to use this on my layout.

I cut the squares and placed them in a grid pattern, then stitched them down for my background. I love the OA paper anyway, so getting to use bits of all of them on my layout was extra fun.

And of course, you know how I love Wendy Hammer Designs felt goodies! I added the Banners and Stars to my layout too! I just thought they went perfectly!

I even used the packaging in the title of my layout!

Cardstock: Life Stories Line, My Minds Eye

Patterned Paper: Cherry Hill, October Afternoon (packaging)

Felt Banner and Stars: Wendy Hammer Designs

Alphas: Cherry Hill, October Afternoon; Chipboard Letters, The Paper Studio

Cardstock shapes: Cherry Hill, October Afternoon

Bakers Twine: Pink Sorbet, The Twinery

Other: shipping tag

I aslo used the Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery to make a little pom for my title tag. I simply wound the twine around two of my fingers, tied it off in the middle and snipped the loops!

I love the Pink Sorbet! I think it's one of my favorite colors!
But if you can't decide, then I suggest grabbing this 15 yard Sampler Pack from The Twinery! You'll get eight delicious colors....one for every project you can think of!
Did I say absolutely love bakers twine?

Have a happy Friday and a great weekend!

Layout and Journal *Wendy Hammer Designs*

I wanted to share another layout with you that I created using Wendy Hammer Designs felt goodness! I am loving these felt pieces!

Papers: Life Stories Frequency Grip, Alphabet Soup Boy Ledger Paper, My Mind’s Eye; Macho, Studio Calico

Rub Ons: Victorian Elements Texture Rub-on, 7 Gypsies

Alphas: Hat Box Thickers, American Crafts; Stickabilities, The Paper Studio

Felt Embellishments: Clouds, Circle, Birds, Arrow, Wendy Hammer Designs (Etsy)

Punches: Scallop Lace, EK Success

Other: Vintage receipt, beaded string, rosette ribbon, twine, doily.

On this page I used one of the arrows from this set
One of the circles from this set
and the bird from this set

And this cloud set is stinkin' awesome!
I'm loving it!

And another project that I haven't shown you yet is my gratitude journal. When I was working on the cover, it seemed to just be missing something. I pulled out Wendy's felt flowers and layered two of them together and this was the result! It was the exact finishing touch I was looking for!

I actually layered two different flowers together.
I used the Perfect Peony
and one of small Sweet Rose Flowers in the center.

And guess what? Wendy is having a fantastic sale this week! 25% off her entire store!
Now, that's a bargain. I can personally tell you, Wendy's products are so well made and such high quality. Run over to her store now and get you some felt goodies! You'll love them too!
