It's a Fall Hop ~ The Twinery and LYB!

Hello and welcome to the hop!
So glad you stopped by. I hope you find some inspiration as well as just have fun!
This is such a fun week with The Twinery as several of the designers team up with Little Yellow Bicycle to share some great projects with you!  I love all LYB lines but this time we were able to play with their "Hello Fall" collection and let me tell you, it is fabulous! As a huge fan of fall, I was blown away by the amount of wonderful pieces and papers that LYB has for your fall pages.

My first project I completed was using LYB's chipboard album and the matching paper pad from the "Hello Fall" collection! This was a brilliant thing that LYB did. The paper pad fits the chipboard album pages perfectly so there's no time consuming trimming or cutting!  Genious!!!

Here is my mini album I made using those items.....

I am so thankful for the blessings in my life and this album was perfecting for
putting some of those blessings down.  You can tell by looking at the album what I
am most thankful for.....my family!

I just love the "10 Things Pocket" on the left page and those pinwheels and flowers are from the
"Paper Flower Kit".....that is a really cool set to have!
There are some great chipboard pieces in the "Chipboard Shapes" set.
And see that bracket at the top of the right hand page?  Um, yeah, that's a canvas border!
Found in the "Canvas Border Stickers" pack! Loved those!

Then, I couldn't resist the urge to complete a layout about my favorite fall drink!
Mmmm, just love the perfect papers and embellishments!

I used the Corrugated Shapes from the collection and just sprayed and splattered some white mist.

This perfect little journaling spot was from the pack of journaling cards.
Just look at how that Honeydew twine blends with the LYB papers!

One of my favorites! Love these little stickers. The larger fall flag was actually pulled from the "10 Things Pocket" pack.  The little "sweet" tag was pulled from the "5 Things Envelope" packs. I didn't use them as they were intended but still worked perfectly for my page!

Now, you know if you follow my blog regularly, I always say I am not a card maker because I typically do not do cards.  But I decided to give it another go with these gorgeous papers!

Totally loving the little owls found in the Fabric Sticker pack and the Canvas Tape!

Aren't these little banners from the Mini Banners set just the cutest!

I hope you've found a bit of fall inspiration here today! Remember this hop will be going on all week so you'll want to be sure to check out The Twinery and Little Yellow Bicycle blogs.

You also have a wonderful opportunity to win prizes

And now on to my project!

This was my first time using the stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy and I have to say I loved them! They are a high quality stamp and they have some of the cutest images, backgrounds and words to choose from.

The set I used was called "Your Friendship".  When I saw the stamp that said "You are my sunshine" I knew I had to have it! My oldest niece Samantha was nicknamed "Shine" almost from the moment she was born.  When she was a baby, that was her song! So anything with "sunshine" reminds me of her! I knew I had the perfect photos for these stamps.
"Your Friendship"
Here's the layout I created using the stamp set and our wonderful bakers twine.
Here's Shine!

I just loved these beautiful flowers from the stamp set. I just stamped with my archival ink from Ranger on patterned paper and cut them out. Lots of fussy cutting but I loved the result!

I then added some of my favorite bakers twine from The Twinery in Cappuccino.

I used Versamark ink with the flower stamp to create a subtle pattern on the top portion of the cardstock.
I also used the sentiment stamp on a label.

And since I loved the stamp set so much, I decided to do another quick project and made a card!

I did some heat embossing on this one using the stamps.
The sentiment is from the set as well.
Then of course added some of the fabulous Charcoal bakers twine
from The Twinery.

Don't forget to leave a comment and then you can head to Janette Olen's blog for the next stop on the hop!

Again, thanks so much for stopping by!

Washi Love!

I recently shared a challenge at For The Luv of Art using something that has quickly become a favorite of mine and that is WASHI tape!

It is all the rage in scrapbooking right now. You can find it in every color, pattern and size imaginable! Many of the scrapbooking manufacturers have jumped on the band wagon by releasing tapes in their newest lines. You can find it from American Crafts, Hambly, 7 Gypsies, and Tim Holtz, who has had the tissue tapes for some time.

You can even make your own washi tape, like Nichole Heady did on this card below, by stamping on tissue paper that had been adhered to Scor-tape!

Nicole has a really cool tutorial on video on her blog which you can check out here. It's flippin' amazing!

Here's a layout I completed recently using washi tape:

I just love the look it adds to a project.  I'm currently trying to increase my stash of tapes bit by bit!
I'd love to see what you create with washi tape!  You can upload it to the FTLOA thread here or you can link in the comments so I can visit you!

Hope you're having a great day!
