I'm Baaaack!

Hello there! Yes it's me! I'm alive and well. I have taken some time off from blogging as you know. I'm not going to bore you with the specifics or give a bunch of excuses other than just LIFE!  Things have been crazy hectic and as many of you, blogging and crafting is not my full-time job (I already have one of those) and it is something I do for enjoyment and recording memories. But I have to say I have missed it. I miss sharing things, I miss putting things out there and I miss the connections that blogging brings. I am very active on Instagram and stay connected with a lot of people that way and love it!  (By the way, you can find me on IG just by searching my name. Follow me! I'd love to follow you too!)

Anywhooooo, there has been a lot that has transpired since I last posted and I want to share some of that with you! I think the biggest thing that has happened is that yours truly, (yes ME) is going to be a Grandma! I know! Hard to believe huh? I just don't look that old, do I? ;) Ok, don't answer that! I don't want to know!

This was the photo for my daughter and son-in-laws Christmas card. Kind of cute, don't ya think?  We found out in early December that they were expecting and needless to say, are thrilled! They are due the end of July so we're busy getting prepared.
And my husband and I are Lolli and Pop!  I'll share more about the baby in upcoming posts! Up next will be the reveal party! (If you follow me on IG, you already know!)

I mainly wanted to just post today and let you know that I'm back and looking forward to getting crafty and posting some things again. I've missed connecting with you and hope you continue to stop by my blog! Please leave me a message! I'd love to hear from you!

Make It Merry Tag book * Elle's Studio

I'm so excited to be participating in Elle's Studio Celebrate December festivities! It's been a wonderful month of inspiration and exciting things over there. So many talented and creative people that have just blown my socks off!

Well, today, I'm up on the blog with little tag book that I've been wanting to make! It's full of things that make our home merry during the Christmas season.  Elle's tags were perfect for this mini!

To see the full mini book, hop on over to Elle's Studio blog for a look inside!  Don't forget to stop in the store and grab those holiday tags before they're gone!

And as my little gift to you today, you can download the tag cutting file I created in my Silhouette.  It includes the cover tag with the "Merry" cutout along with the filler tags.  It's in an 8 1/2 x 11 size so that if you have the older Silhouette you can still use it!

December Daily sneak peek

...from 2011 that is! Yes, I know....I am behind.  But I did want to pop in to just let you know I have been busy!  I decided that I would do nothing else until my December Daily from last year was completed.  I had a beautiful album with the cover completely done but nothing except the opening page completed. I just couldn't stand the thought of have to start this years DD with last years not complete.

So, my Studio Calico kit is sitting untouched.  My Gossamer Blue kit is sitting untouched.  I won't allow myself to do anything else until the DD is done!  Thankfully, I've made some good headway in the bits of time I've been able to squeeze in for scrapping!

So I thought I'd just share a few peeks of what I've been working on......I'll give the full reveal when it's done!

I have to say that I am so glad I am finishing it! Just looking back at last year's memories makes me feel so warm inside! I know I'll be glad I finished so we can have it for years to come!

Thanks for stopping by!

So Happy 2gether *Video

Ok, I promised yesterday that it would be here today, otherwise I might not have shared it!  Yes, it's a video.  I don't know about you but I love videos. I love process videos and tutorials. Just seeing how other people work and process their layouts is fascinating to me. I have picked up some great tips and ideas and just love watching them.  So I thought I'd give it a try myself.

I've been wanting to try these for some time now.  This first one took me hours, and I'm not even exaggerating!  Just the editing, narration overlay, photos, etc. Lots of time.....but part of that was just learning the video program and figuring out how to make it do what I wanted it to do. Not to mention computer problems which slowed my video down. So I had to transfer it all to the laptop.  That alone made the process much quicker.

So, here it is....my first process video.  I welcome any feedback!  Some of it I probably already know....looking at it myself, I see things I need to work on. I know the music volume is louder than the narration.... tried adjusting that and couldn't get it to work out so will have to work on that some more. But really any feedback would be appreciated.

And here's a few close-ups of the layout.

(Supplies Used:  Gossamer Blue Sept Main Kit, Studio Calico wood veneer hearts, asterisks, arrows; doilies)

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please let me know your comments on the video!
