Cardstock Challenge

This week's challenge is posted at Scrap Tiffany and boy was it a challenge! I love patterned paper....so when the challenge is to use cardstock only, I have to get out of my box! Well, I did and I'm pretty happy with the result.

I created a layout using only cardstock....no patterned paper and very few embellishments that were not made from cardstock. Here it is:

Bazzill Cardstock
Red Velvet and Raven Glimmer Mist @ Tattered Angels
Ransom Alpha and Concerto masks @ Tim Holtz
Tattered Floral Die Cut, Tim Holtz by Sizzix
Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug Embossing folder

Tissue tape by Tim Holtz
Other: spray paint, Artists tape, pearls

These flowers were made from cardstock using the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz. Then I Glimmer Misted and added the pearl and a little bit of glitter.

Oh how I love my mists and paints! The messier the better!

And since I couldn't use patterned paper, I had to doctor the cardstock up a bit. I used one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders on the red cardstock and sanded it to give it some texture. Love the way that turned out!
