Today is all about flowers! There are sooo many beautiful types of flowers out there now. You can find all kinds of flowers in the scrapbook supply stores and craft stores. I have a stash full of them honestly. However for todays stash dive, I wanted to make some using some crepe paper that I had left over in my party supply stash!
Here is my layout for the stash dive:
This entire layout was created from my stash. I didn't use any new product from any new kits. Everything is from older pieces that I have in stash.
Here is the large flower created from crepe paper. You know, the kind you find in rolls at the dollar store. I made two flowers using the streamers. You can see how they are made at the very end of the process video posted and the bottom of this post.
I love taking old product, older things in my stash and making them new or updating them with new techniques. These Thickers are both from a few years ago, still in my stash!
That brown tag with the jute string is actually from some clothing. I am always watching for pieces like that. My husband knows now to save all the cool tags from clothes or other items. I love using found pieces on layouts to add layers, texture and interest.
I hope this encourages you to dig deep in your stash and pull out some things to create a layout. Why let it all go to waste just because its not new? No reason! Use it!
Here's the process video for this layout and the process for making the flowers as well. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
