Happy Mother's Day to Me!

I had a great Mothers Day. Ashley worked so hard to make the day special for me. I am so blessed! I wanted to share it with you!

First thing in the morning, I was greeted with a cup of coffee in this adorable coffee cup along with this very cute card. The outside of the card was very sweet and talked about how much you cared and took care of me, then at the bottom of the card it read, "...but what you were really thinking was....." Then when you open the card it plays the song, "You make me wanna shout! Lift my hands up and shout....." It was so cute!

Then she gave me this wonderful lamp. I had found it earlier in the week at a local antique shop and for some reason fell in love with it. I didn't buy it the day I saw it, because I thought I'd just think about it before I purchased it. Well, I could not get the thoughts of this lamp out of my head. Thinking of where I could put it, how I could buy a lampshade and alter the shade to be really cool, on and on. So I figured I must REALLY like this lamp, so I went back to get it and it was GONE! I seriously wanted to cry. For some reason, I had grown so attached to that lamp, not sure why I loved it so much but I did! The sales lady said she had just sold it! I was so sad. Well my sweet daughter obviously heard me talking about this lamp so much, it was her that had bought it! Needles to say, I was very happy with my gift! She gave it to me with another card, a mushy one that she was hoping would bring me to tears! It's like a game with her to see if she can make me cry!

Then, I was surprised with this beautiful bouquet of tulips, one of my favorite flowers along with the cute balloon attached. She honored me at service which totally caught me off guard! She said some of the sweetest things about honoring me as first her pastor and then as her mom. I wish I had a video because it touched my heart so much to hear my daughter say such wonderful things....I don't think there was a dry eye after that. Well, among the women anyway. It was so thoughtful!

And here we are! She's so adorable and is always a party just waiting to happen. She keeps our lives full of fun and excitement! I, on the other hand, look like I'm scared, like a deer caught in headlights!

Hope your mothers day was great!
