A Dress of your Legacy

This is a layout I created for For The Luv of Art.  This is my first month creating for them and I'm loving it!  Such a great team and such a sense of community on the boards.  If you haven't already checked it out, you must!  You'll get hooked....just like I did!

I created this with a photo from my daughters wedding.  She was married this past New Years Eve.  One of the things she definitely wanted at her wedding was a display of my wedding dress, which also happened to me my mother's dress.  Yes, I wore my mom's wedding dress.  So we had a display of the dress along with a table that had photo albums from her grandmothers wedding and our wedding.  I have to say it was so cool to have that there for the guests to see.  I am so glad we did that because the guests absolutely loved it!

I loved this kraft envelope!  I decided I wanted to use it for a journaling pocket.

So I slit the end of the envelope and used these great journaling cards

Supplies Used:
Paper:  Conservatory (Magpie), 7 Gypsies
Die Cuts:  Life Stories Accessory Sheet, My Minds Eye
Flowers:  Prima
Tag: Avignon, 7 Gypsies
Pearls:  Zva Creative
Alphas:  Prima, Making Memories
Kraft Butterflies and Graph Tag:  Inspire Lovely, Etsy
Punch:  Starburst (Martha Stewart)
Other:  Doilies, Ribbon, Pearl Sprays, Kraft Envelope (FTLOA), black paint

I have a couple more to share which I will in the next few days! In the meantime, hop over to FTLOA to check out the great things in the store and the forum!

  4. Sheri, just had a look at your design gallery on Elle's studio and have got to say how wonderful all your work is. Love it all but my absolute favourite is your Christmas layout on 'a few of your favourite things' just stunning. Also very happy and proud to see you using bits from your kits.
