Down memory lane by way of Cracker Barrel

What can I say? I love the Cracker Barrel. The store that is. Don't get me wrong...the restaurant is something to be experienced. But the store is so much fun. I love to just walk around in there. I don't know what it is. There is so much country stuff. Not that I'm in to "country" decor or anything. It just makes you feel so homey! (Is that a word???) They do have some cool kitchen gadgets and serving items. I just think some of their things are cute. For those of you who have been in a Cracker Barrel, you know what I'm talking about.

Maybe it's the aprons they have there, maybe it's all the cast iron skillets, maybe it's the cute vintage looking glassware or old decorations...I don't know. It reminds me of when I was a kid, visiting my Great-Grandma Coffee. You know, when all the women would gather at one house while the husbands were working. Then you spend all day there. All us kids would play outside then come running in for a drink only to smell something wonderful coming from the kitchen. It reminds me of her kitchen and her house. She was always cooking something and you could NEVER leave without eating something homemade! You always felt safe and happy there.

Well, enough of my reminiscing for now! I still love Cracker Barrel!!!
