My Weekend Pictures

If you read my post yesterday then you know about the photo concept I'm joining in on called "1 Weekend 2 Shots". If you want to know more about it, you can read my post below.

I wanted to pop in real quick and share my two photos from the weekend.

This first photo was taken at the coolest wedding resource here in Franklin called Wedding 101. They were offering a class on Saturday showing how to make those huge tissue poms that are so popular right now. My daughter, Ashley wanted to go take the class so we did. We had so much fun. My mom went too so all three of us got to enjoy the day together. Unfortunately, we were caught in a terrible thunderstorm which seemed to follow us the entire drive there, about 30 minutes. When I pulled into the parking lot it was overcast but not raining. By the time I found a park, the sky opened up with pounding rain. Needless to say, by the time I got to the door, I was soaked! My top was completely soaking wet and the hair.....well, let's just say it wasn't pretty! We had a blast anyway! And they had the most amazing coffees. I enjoyed a vanilla latte and seriously I think it was the best I've ever had! And just look how cute that foam is!

My photo from today is simply a picture of my scrap area. I know most of it is dark but I think that's what I like about it. Just the glow from my cute lamp makes me warm and fuzzy inside!

So those are my photos for this first weekend. I used these overlays and just added the date. I didn't want the overlays to overpower my photo so I adjusted them to about 60% opacity.
