For my project, I decided to make a Junque Journal. I used mostly envelopes from junk mail and added in some pages from catalogs and magazines. I also recycled my husbands old jeans! Then I added a lot of other "junk" elements, things that would normally be trash, and used up a lot of scraps and odds and ends in my scrap supplies.
I was extremely happy with the end result. It is now my favorite! I've included photos for you with the steps to putting the journal together. Then, at the end of the post, I've included a video that shows the inside of the journal page by page where I give details of items used.We all get tons of those junk envelopes and I finally found a good way to put them to use! Here's the steps for my project.

This was my first time using a bookbinding technique to put a book together. I made three signatures (which is just sections of the book) and sewed them into the cover. I was really surprised at how easy it was and really fun! I'll probably be doing more of that!

Then you end up with a finished journal that you can be proud of! And recycled a lot of trash in the process!
Here's the video with an inside look into my completed journal....its rather long so grab a cup of coffee and sit back and relax!
I hope you've enjoyed this stop on the hop!
I'll do a random drawing for one of her awesome kits to make a "Road Trip Album", just perfect for your summer vacations but you have to leave a comment to be entered! Will post the winner on Monday morning!
