3 of a Kind

This week's challenge at Scrap Tiffany is all about using the great sketch created by DT Member, Rebecca! I love it! I haven't used circles on a layout in such a long time. Here's the sketch!
I created my layout by implementing a second challenge as well. I used the challenge posted at the forum at For The Love Of Art. The challenge was issued by DT Member Leslie Ashe (I'm such a fan of hers!) to create a layout using
RED, YELLOW, TURQUOISE & BLACK
So I decided to give that a try and implement both challenges into one layout. Here's is my layout using both challenges!

I used a photo of me with my mom and daughter. We were out doing wedding planning and captured this photo of the three of us and I love it. The truth is, we are all 3 very much alike. I guess it's all your fault Mom! LOL

Patterned Paper: Home Front, Studio Calico (yellow); Olivia, Glitz Design (black)
Tags: Pieces of Life Note Tags and The County Fair Journaling Tags, Elle’s Studio
Letters: Chipboard Alphas, The Paper Studio
Flowers: Prima
Epoxy Shape: Puffy Shapes, American Crafts
Mist: Guatemalan Green, Radiant Rain Twinkling H2O’s
Other: Stamped manila tag, bottle cap, canvas flowers, glittered photo corner, red ticket, rose ribbon, number chipboard, vintage buttons, lace doily, tulle
Adhesive: Scotch ATG adhesive, glue gun, dimensional adhesive

Gotta love me some Elle's Studio tags! I cut the Details tag into strips and added them for a little different effect.

I am in love with this rosebud lace! It's become so popular from the time American Crafts introduced it in the Dear Lizzy line. I noticed from the CHA releases that there are several companies now with the rose ribbon/lace. This lace on my layout was actually purchased in the fabric department. I found it where the ribbons and lace are that are on the spool and you purchase by the yard. I bought it in white actually, then decided to spray it turquoise to match my layout and I love the way it turned out! You might give it a try....check out the fabric stores!

So there you go! My take on the sketch. We'd love to see what you do with it. Go over to Scrap Tiffany to check out the Monday reveals from the Design Team. Then create your layout and email it Tiffany so we can see!

Have a great Monday!
