Terrible Teens!

Whoever said the "terrible twos" were so bad?

You know, you think when you're kids are two and seem to be getting in to everything and messing up or breaking your things, you think, "Oh I can't wait until they grow up and I don't have to worry about this." You think that when they're older, they'll respect things, appreciate all the hard work it took to get it, and really value the things in your home. NOT! You know, even when they grow up, you are still having to clean up their messes, the things of YOURS they've destroyed (of course, not their own things!).

Yes, I'm going somewhere with all of this......the other day Ashley was shredding some papers (hers I might add, she wasn't doing something for me!). When all of a sudden, I hear, "Oh Mom...I don't know what happened....I didn't see it in there....I don't know how to stop it!" And on she went. I went over to the shredder to find this.....
Now, to me, a shredder isn't the most beautiful piece of equipment to have out, so I have tried to disguise mine by placing it near a tree. There is plenty of room around it so this wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, she wasn't paying attention and caught the leaf with her papers and the shredder sucked the thing right in! I tried to pull and hit the reverse button but it was gone. It was stuck in there and I had to physically cut the leaf to get it out.

Here you go.....the newest "growth" on my beautiful silk palm tree!

Thanks Ashley!

  1. OMG!!!Ashley...that is sooo funny. What the heck? Nothing is safe around you or what? That's worse than anything my little kids have done.
That is the funniest picture ever.
Usually when you use a paper shredder it is really a good idea to pay attention to it. It's the kind of thing that could have a mind of its own if you're not careful. If you get my drift....
Oh how we love our Smash!!!
