Wanna new friend?

I like to think I'm good friend material...you know, the kind of friend that you can always depend on, always talk to, the one who's always got your back and sticks with you no matter what life brings. Well, I'm here today to say, yes, I officially suck as a friend! (Can I say that on a blog???) I feel so bad about missing my dear friend's birthday!

My sweet friend, Teresa, who I have known for more years than I want to admit, celebrated her birthday this week, and yours truly, FORGOT! Now, I probably wouldn't beat myself up quite so much, except she surprised me with the sweetest post on her blog (go here to read it) on my birthday, just TWO weeks ago.

Teresa is one of those friends that you can go without talking to for a few weeks (or even months) and then when you do talk, it's like you just had lunch yesterday. We can get on the phone and seriously pick up where we left off last time. We haven't seen much of each other in the past few years as life took us in different directions, and we've moved so far away, but it doesn't matter. We are still like best buds and if I ever need to know anything, Teresa is the most resourceful person I know of. She can find information on anything!

Teresa is actually the person who introduced me to scrapbooking ** years ago! She took me to a Creative Memories party and my life was forever changed! (Yes, I started by using CM! ) She had the most amazing scrapbooks ever! I used to love to go to her house and just look at all the goodies in her scrap room/office. She has shown me so much and she always gets me into some kind of trouble. Whenever I talk to Teresa, hubby always asks "How much is this going to cost me???" Teresa knows that and we always laugh about it.

So to my dear friend, Teresa,
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

(Yes, I hijacked your photo on your blog.....so sue me!!! LOL)

Love ya girl! Hope it was awesome. And I do hope you forgive your slightly ditzy friend!

  2. Happy Birthday Teresa, my face blotter paper friend...lol!!!

Sis I know what makes this worse for you is that Teresa is the guru at not forgetting anything. Which makes it worse when this happens. However, she is a great friend and is also very forgiving. I'm sure a nice big box on her porch would make her feel much better...haha!!
    Lv ya both!!

  3. Hi Sheri! I just let out a screeeam when I saw my face on your blog post!

I learned (from you, on one of your scrapping contests last year) that I could enter blog posts and schedule them to post on future dates. So, I've been away from Blogland and was catching up on my favorite feeds when saw your post. Just now.

Girlfriend, your blog post cracked me up! Nothing to forgive bc no offense was taken. Gosh, you words were so kind (I couldn't even read it in one sitting ... had to read it in segments!)

I'm not sure why we've always had such an easy friendship. No expectations, no rules and no restrictions on one another, so we've NEVER had hurt feelings or offenses, have we? Truly, I love you for that.

From the beginning, our friendship has always been easy. Plain. Simple. True. Low Maintenance. We also want God's best for each other. 'Nuff said.

Yes, birthday was fun (stop the tally now). As always, thanks for the gift of your friendship. Love you.
