I've been lurking around their blog and website and have bought some kits which I'll be talking about later in the post but I decided to participate in this month's sketch challenge. Here's my layout:
Here's the sketch by Julie Bonner:
I used the April Magpie Kit for my layout. There were some of the yummiest papers, stickers and bits and bobbles in the kit! I still have so much leftovers to create more layouts.
I created the flower above by using scraps left from my border punches that I had used on the strips in the center of the layout. You know how you have little strips left? I had a few so I cut them in fourths and then layered the strips across each other building layer on layer. I then crunched the little strips to give them a little curl and interest, added buttons to the center! Not a bad way to use your trash! LOL
I made the little tag element by hand cutting the pieces and putting them together. I love the look of the flap with the scallops and circle punch. I added the adorable Dear Lizzy stickers and some other fun elements that came in the kit.
And did you see that little clock transparency and the little bird? Are those not the cutest? Again, part of the April kit! Here's a peek at what came in the March kit.....
Can you tell I'm hooked? Seriously, I have been a part of many kit clubs including the bigger more well known kit clubs. And I love them, really I do. But the thing that sold me on Magpie was the first time I received my first kit. I happened to get two boxes of kit product on the same day (oh my!). Hubby brought home two boxes from the post office. One was from my regular kit club that I have been a part of for some time, which happens to be probably one of the biggest clubs out there. I also had the second box. I have to say when I opened the second box which was from Magpie, I couldn't believe the difference in first of all, just the sheer weight of it. I was amazed that side by side, it was clear to me that the Magpie Kit was loaded with product. And it was amazing stuff too! Beautiful papers, current stickers, vintage items and lots of little interesting pieces of ephemera and embellishments!
And Tara, the owner is the sweetest thing! I follow her blog here and I enjoy reading about her daily adventures, mothering and keeping the kit club going. And she tucks the cutest little personal notes in her shipments! A great touch!
Funniest thing happened.....I guess the kits in April went very fast! I thought I missed out on getting one and I seriously just about wigged out at the thought of missing a month! I fretted about what I was going to do without a kit this month! Thankfully, I did get one but I decided that was not happening again so I am becoming a subscriber so I don't miss out on one kit! I knew then, I had it bad! LOLSo there you go! My review of Magpie Kit Club....no, she didn't sponsor me for this; no, I'm not on her design team; no, I'm not an affiliate or anything like that! I simply found a kit company I really believe in and when I find something I think is a great value and great product, I like to let others in on the secret too!
Hope you have a great day!
Hope you have a great day!

I learn new things everytime I'm in your blog! I didnt even know they made these kits. I ended up in the Magpie Club blog and finally remembered to come back here. Whew...I'm tired.
