Happy Spring!

Spring is in the air, the trees have bloomed and we are having some gorgeous days! I love spring. I love Easter! Everyone dressed in their new outfits and looking so cute. The excitement of the kids and Easter baskets, coloring Easter eggs and hunting them. It's been a long cold winter but now the sun is shining bright!

I wanted to share these with you from my sisters baby shower because I thought they were so cute and such great ideas. First of all, I was asked by the girls giving the shower, if I could make birthday cards. The idea was to have a birthday card for every birthday year from age 1 to 21. Each guest would complete a birthday card for a different year. Then on Addi's birthday every year until 21, she would have a birthday card from a guest who was at the shower for her! How fun is that? I wish I could say I thought of it, but all I did was make the cards!
I made all the cards using digital elements from, who else, House of 3! I love them! Have I said that before? I used the Pink Party Background Kit, the Pink Party Decorations Digital Kit, the Pink Party Lollies Digital Kit, and the Pink Party Greetings Brush and Digital Kit. I created them in Photoshop Elements, two per page and printed them, then cut them. Easy peasy! They were super fun to make and it was extra special knowing who they were for and that made me feel honored to be able to do it for my little Addi!

So I needed a cute box or tin to keep them all stored in. I had no idea what I was going to use. I was shopping at TJ Maxx here locally (which by the way, is awesome where I live....I've seen some that aren't so hot but this one is dangerous to me!) Anyway, I happened to run up on this adorable recipe box. PERFECT!!! I thought I was going to have to get something that would need to be completely altered and doctored up but when I found this little puppy, I just about squealed! What's more perfect than these colors and those adorable cupcakes? All I did was add the lettering!
The favors for the shower were simply amazing! The hostesses had found these huge foil wrapped ladybugs in Belgian chocolate! They were bigger than your hand. They were so cute! And when you crack open the chocolate, there were baby ladybugs of Belgian chocolate inside! Seriously, how cute is that I ask you? They asked me to make the tags to go on the favors, so here they are.
Up to this point, Kristi had not shared the baby's name with hardly anyone. And she wasn't going to until after she arrived. Well, you know the story....we thought for sure Baby Girl was going to be here for her shower since that was past her due date and Sis never has gone past her due date with any of her other kids! Well, Baby Girl decided to take her own sweet time and was not here for her shower. The tags were already made and attached. Kristi was not sure if she wanted the name to be shared before the baby was born but then decided what a special treat for the guests of the shower to get in on the baby's special name before anyone else knew, so she left it! And I think it was a great idea!

And since I haven't shared a photo in a few days.....here's another look at our beautiful new baby girl, Adoration Capri! Isn't she gorgeous?

So, for those of you still hanging on after this extremely long post, thank you and I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend with lots of fun with friends and family! And most of all, remember the reason we celebrate Easter....it's more than Easter bunnies and baskets!

Have a great weekend!
