As it turns out, Aunt Sheri's reign as "Best Auntie" may be coming to a close! Yes, I, aka "Best Auntie in the World", have done the unthinkable! You see, my niece, Samantha (or Shine as we call her) had a birthday on Saturday. And apparently she came to check out my blog for her birthday post only to find the same old post from a couple days before. I ALWAYS post birthday love for all my nieces and nephews. However, never did I really think they gave a flip about it or even looked at my blog. Apparently I was wrong!
Shine was quick to point out that I forgot to put her birthday post on my blog wishing her happy birthday! Geez, are you serious??? Of course, I had to forget to post on the 15 year old, who is the only one who could actually even check a blog. (The others are too young to know how or even care.) Needless to say, I felt my "Best Auntie" crown slipping from my fat head only to fall around my neck, choking the life out of me. Ok, a bit dramatic, but still upset at myself nevertheless.
In my defense, I did not actually forget her birthday. I clearly remembered, had already sent her birthday package on the little brown truck and even posted a birthday message on Facebook. For the life of me, I don't know why I forgot the blog post!

So in honor of my Shine's 15th birthday, I created a layout for her of her birthday party, since we already have pictures. She had a really fun party. It was an 80's themed party (right up my alley!) complete with 80's outfits! My mom made her the most awesome cake.....it was a Rubik's Cube cake which you can see in the layout. She's very talented that way. Of course, what happens when you get a bunch of teenage girls together? Lots of gigles, TP partying and no sleep! Yes, 4 am was finally bedtime..... Anyway, here's my layout to share:

I used Shimelle's brand new release, "Count to Four Page Template". This is just being released today at Two Peas.
It is such a great template to work with. And get this, it even comes with a FULL alphabet including numbers! Woohoo! As you can tell from my layout, it's very easy to mix up and move the elements to fit your layout. Grab it now and do your layout quick and easy! Thanks for looking and to my Shine.....Happy Birthday! You know your Aunt Sheri loves you more than peanut butter and chocolate!

Hi Sheri, I'm loving your blog these days! Come pop over to mine for a surprise :)

Cute layout Sis. You know you are the kids will not take the crown away from you. You won't get off that easy. BTW...it was 6 am, we got home at 4am..it was a long night, but lots of fun. Made me feel like I was a teenager again.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Shine will forget about the lack of the blog post when the brown truck man shows up. lol!
Wish you could have been here to party with us.

ReplyDeleteMakes me feel OLD when the 80s are considered a theme decade. Love the Rubik's cube cake idea from your mom. All y'all are so creative!
