Proud of the House We Built

Today is Week 21 Challenge at Scrap Tiffany. This week's challenge is to create a layout based on a song title. It can be any song you choose. Here's mine:

I created mine based on the song "Proud of the House We Built" by Brooks and Dunn. I knew right away that was what I wanted to do my layout on using pics of me and hubby. He loves this song.....he says everytime he hears it he thinks of us and our life. Isn't that sweet? So now, everytime I hear that song, I think of us. I even added it as a ringtone so I can hear it and know it's him when he calls my phone.

The house I used was from a chipboard album that I found in the dollar bin at Michaels. I knew I wanted to add the scalloped shingles. Took a little time but I love the end result.

I wanted to try creating these new paper flowers I had seen recently. I love the look they added to the page. And they were really easy too. I love easy and cute!

I used the May Magpie Club kit that I had just received. Isn't it divine? The only exceptions were the Jenni Bowlin tag that you see with the orange border, the vintage lace at the top of the page (found that at Jenni Bowlin's Vintagefest), and then the manila tag I used to add a couple more lines from the song.
