Vintage Finds

Today I hit my local Antique Mall and found some wonderful vintage items that I just had to bring home with me. Not big things but some fun little things!
I found this wonderful jar full of vintage buttons. I was in sheer delight! I haven't even been able to look at all of them yet but I can't wait. Goodness was just pouring out of the jar! I also found the little white milkglass bowl that I thought was perfect to hold all my new buttons! Doesn't it just look divine?
Then I found these wonderful old books. I think I'm going to have to do something with them, just not exactly sure yet. The one in the back has some wonderful writing in the front pages of the original owner, dated 1906. Some poems and a note to someone written on the inside. The other book, I just had to have because of the beautiful front cover, the green with the gold pattern.
(*Sorry the photo is a little blurry...wanted to share it anyway!)
Then, do these not just scream "Alter me"? They are these wonderful old Bingo cards. They are thick too. Like an mdf board of some kind. Actually, I have had these for a little while but I did get them from the same store. I don't think I have shared them yet, so they went great with my post today. I can't decide what to do with them. Thought about an album but I don't know...any suggestions?

And don't forget to go over to Amy's blog and enter for the giveaway for this week's Paperlife Spotlight for a free August kit from ScrapTiffany and a Starbucks giftcard! Don't wait, go now because it all ends Sunday!

Thanks for looking! Hope you have an amazing weekend!

  3. WOW, great finds. All of them!!! I never find stuff like this (although I admit I don't go very often to any flea markets or shops). Do you have to search around a lot to find it?? I think I'm going to make a point of going to the next flea market at the Rose Bowl here in CA, it's been years since I've gone. But it is a huge one, maybe I'll get lucky!!!
