The Man in Brown and a Fun Giveaway!

Look what the man in brown brought me last week!

Isn't it just beautiful? My new Canon 50D with the Canon nifty-fifty lens in the f1.4!

Needless to say, I just about jumped on the UPS lady when she knocked on our door. I had been waiting all day and we were just getting ready to leave at 6:45 pm for a birthday party. I had already resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't see it that day and I would have to wait a whole day longer to get my new toy! But then she rang the bell and knocked on the door and I was ecstatic. Hubby answered the door and told her thank you so much because I was driving him crazy about getting this package! She said she was glad she could make my day! Then the only problem was we had to leave right then to get to the party so I couldn't even play with it until we got home but at least I had it.

I had used my Canon Digital Rebel for about 5 years and I loved it. I was so happy with the pictures and as I learned more about photography and lenses, I began to drool over the new Canon's. I did a lot of research on options and I searched Karen Russell's blog for photography information. She is my Photo-Idol! I found this article especially helpful. She gives her recommendations for each level of camera or budget. I pretty much already knew what I wanted but I went through her recommendations first and it just made my decision that much more final. The Canon 50D was my choice. And I finally got it! So I just thought I'd share my bit of excitement with you. There really is a difference!
