Mish-mash of stuff

I recently was listening to a live scrapbooking show called Unkit that appears on Ustream on Monday evenings. I had heard about it through Paperclipping Live which is another live show on Ustream that comes on every Tuesday evening. I watched Unkit for my first time a couple of weeks ago and they were having a giveaway that night. She was reviewing all different types of adhesives so Tombow was giving away a collection of their adhesives to the lucky winner. Well, guess what? I won! I was so excited to win the drawing, especially on my first night of viewing. I received my box yesterday and look and the goodies I received! So fun!

On Thursday night, we had my brother and his family over for dinner just to hang out and spend some time with them. For those of you who don't know, my brother is quite a bit younger than me. I was thirteen years old when he was born so I really grew up babying him and I still feel that way even though we are both older. So I told him I would make his favorite dinner, anything he wants, just let me know. Well I also wanted to make him a special dessert. I found this recipe over at Kevin and Amanda's blog. You have to go check out their blog if you haven't already. They have every kind of font you could want, recipes and lots of great info on blog designing. So anyway, I decided to make this dessert for him.

It's chocolate and peanut butter heaven! If you like pb cups, then this is the cake for you. There are pb cups chopped up in the cake batter as well as all over the cake.

He loved it! I have to tell you if you decide to make this cake, it is VERY rich! Hubby and me shared a small piece and we couldn't even finish it....it will make your eyeballs pop out of your head! So just beware! It was delicious though.

I love my nephew Alex. Have you ever seen such an adorable face?
Max loves him (and any other kid for that matter!) Alex was coming over so I wanted to get him something special. He loves Sponge Bob so I got him a Sponge Bob Operation game. We played it together for a bit....I love to see him just working on getting those little parts out!

So there you go! My mish-mash of weekend stuff! Hope your weekend is great! Make the most of it!
