This week's challenge is posted at ScrapTiffany. The challenge this week is to use lace on your layout. Well I had the perfect photo to complement a lace layout. This photo is of my daughter, Ashley when she was about 4 years old. This was taken on Easter and she was decked out in her girlie outfit, head to toe lace! However, she was not a lace and ruffle kind of girl. No....on any given day, you'd find her trying to keep up with the boys or throwing one of them in a bush or something. I can't tell you the times she'd come running to me at church with torn tights, scratched and scuffed patent leather shoes and lace hanging from her dress. I always loved to dress her up but it didn't stop her from being a tomboy!
I used my new Gypsy and Cricut to cut out the "lace" title and added Shimmerz paint in Hi Ho Silver around the black and Shimmerz on the white just to give it a little extra bling. Of course, I'm sure you noticed the Shimmerz on the background in Licorice and on the flower and the manila envelope and anywhere else I could spray it, it's there! I love that stuff!

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I couldn't get past Ashley's face and looking at her all her lace-iness! Ha! I remember seeing the prettiest dressed little girl zipping by with all the kids. Perfect title for this layout!
