Thanksgiving Table Ideas

Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week? I can't. We are having 18 guests for Thanksgiving this year....what am I? Crazy? Nah, I just love having people in for the holidays. In preparation, I was trying to come up with some quick and very easy table decor ideas. I immediately thought of Shimelle's Autumn Apples Kit.

I used Photoshop to layout the apples on a page. These digital elements are so easy and fun to use. If you don't have PSE, you can easily use Word to do the same thing. I added the gratitude words in white font so no color would print where the words are. I printed them out on a transparency and cut them out. I used tiny glue dots to stick them to the sides of my clear candle holders. I love how it created a luminary effect. I thought how fun it would be to do these for the kids to decorate windows, glass doors or even the fridge!

I also needed placecards. Using Shimelle's great polka dot from the Autumn Apples Line, I printed the backgrounds onto white cardstock in size 4x4 squares. I then cut them with the paper cutter and folded in half the base of the placecard. I then used the lighter polka dot background, added names, printed and cut them to size and then trimmed the bottom with my cute EK Success scallop punch. I used pop up squares to adhere them to the background. I printed several of the apples on white cardstock, then cut them out and adhered with pop up squares as well......in just a few quick minutes I was done. And I love how they turned out......who wouldn't want to sit down to that in front of them at the Thanksgiving table?
Hope you enjoy these quick and easy ideas! It really doesn't have to be hard to add great personal touches to your Thanksgiving table! And it really makes your guests feel so special!

Have a great day!
